Beauchief Abbey LodgeThe values of Beauchief Abbey Lodge No. 3793, established on 12th July 1917 are integrity, respect, caring and concern for others, co-operation and charity.

The third oldest Freemason Lodge meeting at Dore Masonic Hall, Woodland View,
Abbeydale Road South (carpark entrance on Dore Road near the bottom), Sheffield S17 3LA, we meet nine times a year on the 2nd Monday of each month excepting January : July & August,

A number of our meetings are open to family, friends, colleagues, and anyone who may be interested in joining freemasonry. Following our meetings we enjoy a delicious 3-course meal in the convivial surroundings of our Masonic Hall
Each November, we hold a very special Remembrance Day meeting to commemorate all those who have served their countries during times of peace and conflict.

Each December, our Annual Carol Service is celebrated at the nearby Beauchief Abbey https://beauchiefabbey.org.uk/, a superb place of worship, which dates back to 1176. After our service, we adjourn to the nearby Dore Masonic Hall for suitable refreshments, and entertainment for the children, each of whom receive a Christmas gift from members of the Lodge.

We also host a number of very enjoyable social events throughout the year including a ‘Night at the Dogs’, held at the Owlerton Dog Racing Track in Hillsborough; Curry nights; and the occasional trip to the Great War Battle Fields of Belgium & Northern France.

We work hard to provide strong community links and support to a number of local charities including;

We currently have 28 members aged between 30 to 90+ years who come from a variety of backgrounds and occupations including Accountancy; Dentistry; Finance; Legal & Policing.

Ideal Candidate
Wishing to build our membership, we are keen to welcome candidates and joining members who want to contribute to the life and work of the Lodge. The Lodge may be attractive to existing Freemasons who want to progress or take an administrative role, and we are always pleased to receive enquiries and new members with fresh ideas and a sense of fun. If you are musical, and especially of you can play the piano or organ we really would like to hear from you.
